Blaze and Taven came all the way from Texas for their Huntington Castle & Gardens Wedding and stayed a few weeks lobger for their Honeymoon around Ireland

The couple have a special place in their hearts for Ireland having been here before. They knew it was where they wanted to wed, and when these two set their minds to something, they sure make it happen.
One of Ireland’s top estination wedding planner Annie from Aislinn Events, made the couples long distance wedding planning stress free, fun and easy. The day went so beautifully and the couple so happy.
The two met when they were 14. Hadn’t seen one another for years. But when they met again sparks flew, and the rest is history as they say. Just outside of Quebec City where the couple had finished some dog-sledding and were drinking hot cocoa, Taven proposed two days before Christmas.
The couples wedding was a fairy tale day, unfolding at this historic castle- a family home since 1625 and located in the picturesque village of Clonegal, County Carlow.
For films buffs it’s also the location where world renowned Director Stanley Kubrick chose to film Barry Lyndon in 1975.
When I arrived to the castle I was greeted by a many baby lambs at the castles gates, grazing away on the greenest of grass. When entered the castle square I was then greeted by very friendly peacocks. It was magical.
Before the groom Taven slipped into his crafted Italian wool suit from Suit Supply, he was relaxing in a chair and the wonderfully social peacocks were walking to greet him too.
The stunning Blaze made a beautiful bride, and it was such a great day being on hand to photograph the newlyweds and their family and friends during their intimate wedding day.
Blaze had her makeup done by Dawn Ryan
Her hair was done by Sarah Boyle
Her stunning dress was by Jenny Yoo
Her flowers by Tricia from Flowers on Four Acres
and her gorgeous shoes were by Badgley Mischka
After the morning prep Blaze made relaxed on a stunning vintage piece of castle furniture to hand write her vows on a lovely piece of paper. Looking at her was like watching a painting in real life. Breathtaking.
Taven, Blaze’s prince and husband, had all intentions to make a regal sword to bring to Ireland having the skill of a blacksmith in his repertoire- to be able to craft such a stunning piece.
Covid restrictions got in the way of that project but that didn’t stop Taven from finding the perfect pre-crafted sword andchecking it through any and all security needed at airports to make it possible for his bride.

Taven dropped to one knee during their personalized wedding vows and handed Blaze the handle of the sword, with a verbal promise to always be her prince.  It was beautiful.

Post wedding Taven then surprised Blaze with her own official Ladyship. So it’s forever more- Lady Blaze !
It was a intimate wedding, many tuning in from overseas via video and in order to share in the day. Photos were extra important to the couple, so they arranged for an extended bridal portrait session and we had such a gorgeous castle to get creative in, both inside and out at Huntington Castle and Gardens.
From smoke bombs, historic rooms, historic furniture, 700 year old trees with branches cascading over a promenade, secret gardens, a green house, rose walls, and the infamous U walk. It was magic for such a magical pair
Congrats again to Lady Blaze and Taven!
Wish them all the continued success!
