This gothic inspired Huntington Castle and Gardens wedding was such a party. They vibe of the day was to have as much fun as possible, and Tara and Justin spent the morning getting ready together to make sure not a moment of fun together was missed.
Justin romantically proposed to Tara, down on one knee, at the bottom of a mountain in Vermont, USA. They said they wanted to marry in a Castle in Ireland, and that they did.

Justin, Tara and their wedding party flew in from Boston, and other parts of America, and with the wedding planning of Aislinn Events had an amazing wedding and party from start to finish.

I heard Tara say to Annie at the end of the day the planning process was so much fun, and no stress, even from overseas. Once again Aislinn Events delivers, in beautifully epic proportions.

Tara and Justin’s morning at Huntington Castle and Gardens was gorgeous, the sun was out, butterflies were flying around in the couples room, peacocks stretched out their feathers putting on quite a show, while peacock babies put on their own show fearlessly and beautifully engaging with the guests in attendance. Cute doggos were trotting around every now and then, birds chirping. Warm breeze. It was so lovely to see it all unfolding amongst the morning preparation.

Tara was such a fun and funny bride. Infectious humor, amazing laughter.
She really did have have a ball, and made sure everyone else did too. She stuck her tongue out, she surprised me with humorous poses, she absolutely just let go, and had fun and it was such a delight to photograph, I smile now thinking of it. She’s wonderful.

There was attention to detail, from Tara’s nails which had Justin and her initials polished on them, to Tara bringing along her babies as she called them, babies being her amazing Jimmy Choo lace booties and classic Christian Louboutin sky high heels. As a fellow shoe lover, I absolutely concur.

Now to Tara’s dress.

Tara wore an absolutely breathtaking black lace wedding dress with long train by Maggie Sottero.

A perfect look for the couples gothic inspired Huntington Castle and Gardens wedding.

It was incredible to see the dress in person and so amazing to photograph. It was breathtaking.

Tara’s hair was done by Christine Murphy and her make-up by Paula Byrne

Justin smiled the whole day, dressing the theme in a gorgeous black suit and red dress shirt.

The love and laughter between these two filled the atmosphere. They both work at a hospital back in America, and it was a funny nod to that to photograph their friend ended up using Covid Masks for the final polish of Justin’s wedding shoes.

Justin’s wedding ring was a unique choice, made from a Jameson Oaked Barrel, and Tara’s black diamond ring equally unique and stunning.

Just before the ceremony, the couple sat together to write their vows out in his and her vow books.

Their gothic themed wedding absolutely suited the backdrop of the castle.

The couple married under trees that were from a movie. I mean that literally, as Stanley Kubrick shot his film Barry Lyndon on the castle grounds in the late 70’s. The 700 year old trees make an archway called the U Walk. The historic canopy of trees was perfect for the couple to wed under and again suited their gothic vibe perfectly.

Tara’s maid of honor walked her half way down the aisle while her uncle walked her the rest of the way.

The ceremony as you can guess was full of laughter, but also tears and very sentimental, personalised vows full of romance and emotion. Another touching moment was when Justin reached over and wiped his new wife’s tears away like an absolute gentleman.

The ceremony was beautifully conducted by Celebrant Kate Carroll and even the Castle peacock followed the vibes, quietly showing up mid ceremony and gazing at the wedding from the end of the aisle.

The couple had a hand tying ceremony before their guests and themselves signed a wooden memorabilia with congrats. Tara’s bridesmaid also left her license plate number with her inscribed well wishes, which brought even more laughs to the ceremony.

The drinks reception commenced in the castle, with stunningly decorated, individual white frosted cakes, each topped with a large massive rose, which went hand in hand with the beverages on offer.

Justin’s father provided the couple a heart-warming speech, while the talented ceremony band The Honey Voom Duo relocated from under the 700 year old arched trees,  to continue playing for the wedding reception in the castle.

Prior to the couples dinner we took some bridal portraits around the castle grounds. It was an absolute fairy tale, something out of a romance novel.

The final images were taken in front of the castle, with Tara kicking off her heels, and Justin encouraging her to jump and let him catch her.
More moments full of fun and laughter.

It was an absolute joy to photograph Tara and Justin’s dream Irish Castle wedding. We all had fun and the couple continued that fun with a two week honeymoon around the Irish Countryside.

Wishing Tara and Justin all the continued best, and continued laughter, which no doubt will be wonderfully bountiful
