Continue on below for a further peek into some of their stunning wedding gallery, but first, a bit about their Italian wedding extravaganza love story …..
That’s amore!
The wedding of Fair City TV stars Actors Lynseyann Mulvey Bowe and Karl Bowe-who’s is also former Mr. Ireland
A 3 day dream Italian wedding extravaganza, at 3 different locations, with all their nearest and dearest.
A joy to be on hand in Santa Maria di Castellbaste, along the Cilento Coast to photograph their dream wedding, with the ever professional Lisa and Alessandra from Amore Weddings Italy helping to bring their vision to life
Day one started with an evening gathering by the sea. A beautiful spread of Italian food, drinks flowing, sun setting. It was perfection along the coast, where their guests mingled and the Campari and Aperol were in full abundance.
Their wedding day, on day two, took place at Palazzo Belmonte, a magnificent 17th century residence by the sea, run by two real life Princesses no less, who showed us all absolute warmth, & who with pride open their doors for such special occasion. Lynseyann and Karl’s wedding day was straight out of a fairytale. An aptly so, as it mirrors their love story.
To start their Palazzo Belmonte wedding day, there was exquisite morning prep in a high perched room overlooking the sea, where the talented bride did her own makeup beautifully and where we took some glamorous and relaxed silk robe morning portraits followed by Lynseyann’s getting ready images.
The grounds and apartments where this chick looking Groom prepared, had equally spectacular sea views, lush with palms, gorgeous balmy heat, florals and the sounds of birds chirping. Lush greenery climed the inner courtyard walls of the Palazzo, adored by blooming purple florals, the perfect setting for their nuptials, with the wisest most unique tree, more than centuries old, with lengthy arms growing that nearly look life like. It was magical.
After a very touching first look with the bride and her dear Father, the couple were married by the Mayor of Italy no less, who arrived with joy in official Governmental regalia to deliver a touching ceremony for the stunning newlyweds.
When Lynseyann walked down the aisle within the Palazzo Belmonte courtyard, besotted Karl’s emotions of love and pride were clear to see as he focused his gaze on his beautiful bride, while Lynseyann made her way up the aisle looking like an absolute Italian starlit vision for her dapper husband. Karl’s Mom walked him up the aisle, Lynseyann’s Dad escorted her up the aisle, and Karl’s Dad had a role in the wedding ceremony too. They said their I-do’s, with those climbing purple florals, and wise old tree as further witnesses. They walked down the aisle to live music, confetti in the air and a very romantic movie like kiss and dip mid aisle. Cheers were a plenty.
Post ceremony we went for some bridal portraits around the old town of Santa Maria di Castellbate, but first a stop at City Hall to sign the official papers in office. During the bridal portraits around the old town the couple were greeted with applause, a perfectly timed moped, historic pathways, cascading steps, squares, a beach and tall palm trees. We had a great time taking these portraits, before making our way back to the Palazzo for their family photos and drinks reception, where more music and a lush Prosecco cart awaited them
The call for dinner was superb, napkins were being flung into the air as Lynseyann and Karl made their way to the centre of their reception table set up for another iconic kiss to the roar of applause. Their cliffside reception area over looked the sea, whilst hanging lights illuminated from above, and florals, lemons and Lemoncello bottles decorated the table beautifully.
The speeches were emotional, funny and powerful. A humorous moment with Karl’s Bestman presented him once again with his Mr. Ireland winners sash, that he was able to bring over in secret from Ireland. It made for another great moment.
The dinner was many beautiful courses of Italian cousine and post dinner it was onto cake cutting which was set up so beautifully on a table with even more florals. The couple cut their cake, had a kiss, and moments later their powerful firework display kicked off from below the cliff, rising high to meet the reception area, while a roaring with delight crowd filled the space. It was a beautiful display.
Just then music started, a conga line to be exact. A band appeared with trumpets and drums, dance moves and costumes to escort the couple through a sparkler line, and down to where the evening party, located near with the pool would take place. The couple danced into the wee hours, their band put on a great show with music, dance contents and so much laughter.
Day three. I met the couple mid afternoon for some day three relaxed couple portraits back in the old town. We causally strolled around, reflected on the epic festivities of the previous days, and looked forward to that nights pizza party by the sea
Early that evening the guests all met at L’Ancora. Another lavish spread of Italian food was served to their guests, by the ever enthusiastic owner and numerous pizza’s arrived every hour it seemed. Those classic Italian pizza’s that one would hope they’d find in Italy. They did not disappoint.
A great moment when Karl and Lynseyann walked up the main road each holding tower high boxes of pizza, it made for a great photo opportunity.
Their day 3 band started, and not only did it kick off the party vibe for their guests but it also subsequently kicked off a street party, as locals and other holidays makers heard the music and started to dance infant of their reserved patio area. It wasn’t long before their hole wedding party, and the couple themselves filtered out onto the street for a community dance party kicked off. It was fantastic to say the least. Great time for some additional portraits.
Before I wrapped up, Lynseyann, Karl and myself went out for some final evening portraits with two bottles of Champagne in tow, to create an epic Champagne spray portrait. An ideal way to wrap up the photography side of the three day festivities, then the new Mr and Mrs Bowe and their numerous guests danced and mingled sea side until the wee morning hours.
Thar’s amore indeed!
