Continue on below for a further peek into some of their stunning wedding gallery, but first, a bit about their Italian wedding extravaganza love story …..
Eimear and Stephen’s Prague Czech Republic was an absolute adventure through the City of Prague and surrounding Salabka Winery.
The sights, food, uniqueness, beauty, history, the winery, the infamous Manifesto food market, their hotel full of vintage decor and arcade games, everything about it surely reflected this couple who like to have fun with their friends and travel as much as they can. So that’s exactly how their wedding went down. A trip to Prague, with their friends, family and nearest and dearest for an adventure 3 day Prague Wedding celebration
It all kicked off as guests arrived at the Hotel Mama Shelter which would be home base for the duration of the trip. An amazing Hotel, central to the centre of Prague, with so many pieces of incredible vintage decor throughout. From a cinema theatre area, Pin ball machines, arcade machines, book cases, art walls full of framed goodies and artist murals, vintage couches & chairs, a unique fireplace, a note wall, and a fab terrace that gave a perfect view to the passing & infamous streetcar tramline in Prague City.
The breakfast area also was incredible. Various artistic tables, and art works, ornaments and kitchen utensils hanging above. It felt like you were on a movie set when you were eating your morning breakfast from their very generous buffet.
So instantly things were incredible and so perfectly a reflection of the fun couple themselves. Guests arrived and pints were pulled, chats were happening and excitement was building for their Salabka Winery wedding which followed the next day.
Morning prep for both bride and groom happened at Mama Shelter. Cheers were had in the morning, a relaxed atmosphere filled the rooms with laughs and and beautiful moments, like the Bride’s touching first look with her Dad, when he was full beautifully full of emotion tears filled his eyes. He also wore a tie with a photo of Eimear and himself when she was a little girl. So gorgeously sentimental.
The Groom was pouring Bourbon for his Groomsmen and himself, before some solo portraits complete with Batman Mask for a laugh. Nice touch by Mama Shelter to provide each room with various character masks, such unique decor once again.
Morning portraits progressed to outside, on a wonderfully brisk November morning, the Bride wore floral VANS with her wedding dress in keeping with her personal style, and we had a laugh when she posed like she didn’t want her photo taken, very humorous and reflective of her funny and laid back attitude. Post morning portraits were off to Salabka Winery, where traditional meet modern in a fantastic way.
The beautiful Bride arrived to confetti being thrown and a flower crown waiting to be perfectly placed on her head, before their stunning ceremony began.
The ceremony was fantastic. The couple were married by their friend, they had their other friend shimmy up the aisle as flower man, throwing confetti from a shiny iridescent rainbow fanny pack which was strapped around his waist.
Laughs were had, emotions were flowing, the couple read written vows from a brown leather bound book, and just that like the couple said i-do, kissed, walked down the aisle to cheers, and then the festivities in the winery began
We all made our way to the drinks reception room, and took some time for a group photo, before their receiving line began, where the couple greeted their guests
The drinks reception kicked off, drinks and canapés were flowing, and shortly following that the newlyweds and myself took some time away for some solo bridal portraits around the winery, which ended with a meet up with the bridal party for bridal part photos, and then before we knew it we were in the actually distillery area of the winery, where an employee welcomed us in, explained some of the processes, and fed those willing with wine! Great photo opportunity for sure!
Then into some family photos, enjoyment of more drinks reception mingling, canapés and drinks, and then it was time for their dinner reception, buffet style.
The very thoughtful Bride took time to make a card which awaited each guest at their seat for dinner. The card was like a passport of sorts, a friendship passport nearly. Each card had an image of the guest with the couple taken from some stage of their friendship.
Moments were carefully glued to the card that represented experiences they’ve previously shared together. This must have taken Eimear ages, and it’s safe to say her attention to detail and warm heart didn’t go unnoticed, as many guests were left speechless by the beautiful welcome gift and gesture,. Some cried happy tears, & they eagerly showed one another their card
Speeches kicked off, again more tears and laughs, the dinner bell rang and then beautifully displayed was a unique and high end buffet of Czech delicacies. It was fantastic food, and no one left hungry that is certain.
Post dinner more mingling commenced, the room was full of that Irish banter, which follows the Irish, any country they go!
Post diner it was on to the dance party. DJ at the ready, a wedding party was ready to dance the night away, there was no doubt their dance floor would be full of incredible energy and some incredible dance moves at that. All amazing photo opportunities!
Day 2 was equally as wonderful and reflective of the couple themselves. We met mid afternoon for a walk around Prague City for some additional bridal portraits. We made it to the infamous Prague Astronomical Clock, the main square, and Charles Bridge , which crosses the Vltava River, where the beautiful and modest couple were greeted with rounds of applause nearly every few feet. It was great fun. A jazz band even played for them along Charles Bridge and they took the time a mount for a little dance. Fanastic. We also very appropriately found an Irish Pub, so made sure to take some photos there too, before we concluded with the photos beside one of the famous Prague Trams.
We all made our way back to Mama Shelter before gearing up for the evening, which would be at the incredible Manifest Food Market where the couple reserved a table in the middle of the venue for their whole wedding party to enjoy the various food vendors. Nearly ever food you’d like was being sold, from Burgers, to Japanese, Pizza to Mexican. Drinks on flow, many were opting for some Frozen Margaritas. Needless to say, Eimear and Stephens Prague Wedding was everything they wanted it to be. A meeting of family and friends with unique locations, all setting the foundations for lifelong memories to be made together, and the couple exceeded at achieving this outcome, which marks their beautiful union as Husband and Wife. An absolute joy to be on hand tp photograph all their happiness and new memories
Big thanks to Eimear and Stephen for having me along to photograph their incredible Prague Czech Republic , Mama Shelter, Salabka Winery and Manifesto Food Market wedding.
So happy for the newlyweds! Congratulations Eimear and Stephen!
