Treasa and Charlie’s Morrison Hotel Dublin City Wedding- a stunning setting for a beautiful union between these sweethearts. A day filled with such warmth, happiness, banter, more banter and enjoyment.
The newlyweds, their families, and every single guest had a smile on their face the whole day long- smiles accompanied by roars and roars of laughter. It was fantastic. When Treasa reached out to me she explained that she’d like her photography to start just before she arrives at the venue, and asked that her day be photographed completely photo documentary style. Bar taking 20 minutes away from the party for couple portraits, that’s exactly what we did, and their final wedding catalog is full of that joyous, lively banter and energy, so clearly on display during their wedding day.
The day began with guests gathering at The Morrison bar and restaurant while they awaited Treasa’s arrival. They then moved to the bright and airy ceremony room, as the laughter and high energy followed them. The stunning bride Treasa arrived and went straight to get married to the love of her life. But not before there was a gasp at how stunning she looked and there is this lovely image of her flower girl in awe when she saw Treasa step out of the wedding car.
Their ceremony started with even more laughter, as they read touching and humerous words to one another. There were sentimental readings, a sand pouring ceremony with Treasa, Charlie and their wonderful children, and it was all officiated beautifully by Reverend Rita Crampton who I absolutely recommend.
Post ceremony it was straight into the drinks reception where there were some lovely surprises waiting. Firstly, Treasa surprised Charlie with a traditional Irish Band that provided the music for this part of the day. Another surprise for all was an ever so thoughtful was a slideshow, projected wonderfully against the large walls of The Morrison. Family members were in delight as they watched old wedding images from both sides of the families slide across the screen. It was beautiful, touching and clearly brought back some fantastic memories of old. I love the ability of photography for that.
There was roars of laughter and fun coming from every direction, and everyone had such a great time. Before the call for dinner we snuck away for 20 minutes for some bridal portraits along Dublin City Quay, Temple Bar, Love Lane, the back entrance of Olympia Theatre and Ha’penny Bridge. It was a fun session with Treasa and Charlie. The were greeted by applause and cheers every step of the way, along the Quay’s, at the end of love lane where around 20 tourists started clapping for them, and as we made our way over Ha’Penny Bridge. It was great to see a shiny Guinness truck go by, adding to the real Dublin feel, the love themed tiles along Love Lane were a perfect fit, and it was perfect to stand in and amongst the painted street hearts behind The Olympia Theatre.
“C’mere ’til I tell ya” – that wonderful Dublin saying, was a framed image along the lobby wall in the newly renovated Morrison, it was great to see that same saying splashed along Love Lane too. As we made our way to Ha’Penny bridge, where a seagull positioned itself perfectly to be in the shots, Treasa noticed the shop ‘The Joy Of Cha’, Cha being the family nickname for Charlie. It was a nice touch!
Back at Morrison Dublin the couple arrived for dinner amongst more heaps of applause. Morrison Dublin served fantastic 3 course meal and dessert before hilarious speeches commenced. Again laughter, tears with laughter and more laughter. It was fun to photograph.
The couple hired The Beatty Brothers as their evening entertainment and they did not disappoint. Jaws dropped at how talented those two musicians are. Pitch perfect and seemingly not a musical style they can’t do. It’s no doubt why they recently received heaps of praise from Sir Tom Jones, Will I Am, Olly Murs and Anne-Marie as they were featured on the TV Show The Voice U.K.
The dance floor erupted and stayed that way for some time. It was such an energetic moment when Treasa and her pal danced with full hearts to Tina Turner’s Proud Mary! I’d say Tina would be very proud indeed!
We finished the evening with some night shots at The Morrison Dublin penthouse, overlooking The Dublin City Quays. These stunner, kind and fantastic newlyweds- indeed on top of the world, and everyone, so happy for them both!
Huge congratulations to Treasa and Charlie. Wish these two and their lovely family nothing but the continued best!
