Alfie and Niall’s Morrison Hotel Wedding.

What a heartwarming wedding day from start to finish – an absolute joy to photograph.

Alfie and Niall had their first date on a Monday morning eight years ago at a city centre coffee shop. What started off as a chat over some salty soup led to this loved-up pair’s Dublin city wedding date, which was swiftly followed by a party in Alfie’s homeland of The Philippines.

There was so much attention to detail for Niall and Alfie’s Morrison Hotel Wedding day. First off, organised in just six weeks,  The Morrison Hotel pulled out all the stops to make this a flawless day for the duo.

They looked stylish in their three outfit changes throughout their Morrison Hotel Wedding Day.

They wore two traditional Philippine tunic outfit looks, and then their dress shirts for the dance floor. The traditional Filipino tunics, called Barong Tagalog, are embroidered long-sleeved formal shirts made of pineapple fibre.

We took some time for some bridal portraits along the quays and over Ha’penny Bridgewhere the newlyweds were met with applause and well wishes.

Their day was full of joy, happy tears, laughter and incredible dancing. Niall’s speech directed toward their guests and Alfie, brought beautiful sentimental emotions. Alfie was moved to tears by both Niall’s loving words as well as sister-in-law Kate’s as she welcomed Alfie to the O’Leary family in a beautiful speech and champagne toast.

The couple’s best man, Stephen, designed the newlyweds’ own unique shared fragrance for the day. And the couple’s wedding bands were just as meaningful.

Niall’s mother offered the couple four wedding rings from three generations of the family – his great grandmother’s, his grandmother’s, his father’s rings, and his mother’s engagement ring. They also used a very special jeweller – Seodoiri na Riochta, on the street where Niall grew up in Killarney – to make the two rings in this touching process.

The pair took the time to do a further traditional ring exchange after dinner, before the dancing kicked off. As per Filipino tradition everyone gathered around the newlyweds and as the ring ceremony concluded the crowd threw white petals and danced with them in celebration.

Their friend Chandy gifted them their gorgeous surprise wedding cake.

We made some time for evening portraits also before the beaming newlyweds returned to throw two bouquets to the joyous crowd. Their ecstatic friends and family then danced the night away.

The Morrison Dublin hosted beautifully. The couple remarked how seamless the team at The Morrison made their wedding day, start to finish.

Congratulations again to Alfie and Niall.  Such a beautifully fun wedding!
